Essential Tools for Cancer Survivorship
This “mini “workshops series is designed to provide practical yoga tools for the specific needs of those facing or have faced a cancer diagnosis. Survive & Thrive’s Wendy Campbell will facilitate an approachable group experience including: yoga postures, breath technique, guided meditation, restorative relaxation and more that you can incorporate into your daily life. These workshops are designed for anyone who would like to gain knowledge of the practical healing tools of yoga for themselves or to share with others.
These workshops will be held on the 3rd Saturday of each month from 10:30 -12:00 at Open Mind Zen 250 Tamiami Trail N, # 205
November 18th BREATHE: Practice breathing that supports your movement and restorative postures to help heal and relax your nervous system.
December 16th MOVE: Accessible yoga asana that improve balance, lymphatic drainage, cardiovascular and bone strength .
January 20th PRACTICE: Bringing yoga tools into our lives and experiences; turning knowledge into wisdom. Breath based movement, journaling exercise.
February 17th APPLY: You will implement yoga techniques in a full spectrum class based on your unique needs. Q/A
